Land stewardship, ethnobotany, and hands-on ancestral skill — grown out of South Florida.
Most of what’s called a “primitive skill” today was ordinary knowledge a few generations back — reading a landscape, knowing what’s safe to eat, making fire without a lighter, tending trees you may never see fully grown. None of it is nostalgia. It’s a practical form of self-reliance, and it’s disappearing because fewer people are teaching it.

Classes & Consulting
- Fire-Making Workshops — traditional methods, hands-on, taught in South Florida.
- Foraging Classes — wild edible and medicinal plant identification, grounded in ethnobotany and real wilderness practice.
- Organic Orchard Consulting — full-service fruit tree consulting, planting, and installation, plus ongoing monthly care, in Florida and New York.
Foraging and fire-making classes are scheduled after school on weekdays and on weekends, for individual families or small groups. Fruit tree installation is scheduled directly with the client based on site and season.
